For STUDENTS on Educational Activities (Also graduates on U-M-related travel, e.g post-grad fellowships)  

If you will travel as part of a U-M sponsored group, ask your program administrator if he/she will purchase for you. If so, you do not need to purchase.

Individuals on Personal/Leisure Travel

For STUDENTS, FACULTY, & STAFF on Personal/Leisure Travel

You must purchase this plan prior to departure.

Faculty & Staff on University Business

For FACULTY & STAFF on University Business

As a faculty or staff member, when you register your travel with U-M's Travel Registry, you are automatically enrolled in travel insurance.  If you have already registered your travel, you do not need to do anything further.

This plan covers up to 180 days.  If you need longer coverage, contact Managed Care/Student Insurance Office.
